unity of indians

University in Diversity,

Well folks, I would like to narrate an incident that has happened yesterday. This implicates how well mingled and cross cultured we are. The system we follow. When I say cross cultured don't get me wrong, I do not mean it negatively, I meant it like how well our cultures are crossed. What I m trying to say is that A Muslim knows the cultures and process and the system a Hindu Follows. A Christian has same heritage from the past generations, which are embedded in their life style the good old Hindu system. Now I will stop with my fuss,

Well yesterday I got a call from my friend's uncle that my friend's DAD was died. So me and my other friend went there to convey our condolence to his family. As the body is still there and they are waiting for all of their relatives. We waited and waited, finally all of his relatives came and they took the body to the Graveyard. As he is a Hindu, they will burn the body. As we all know that, what so significant about this is that. There is a Muslim who is taking care of the fireworks and meeting all the needs of the funeral. And Me a Christian carrying and throwing the flower as they move the dead to the graveyard.

Now what I see here is that, we Indians, don't care what religion you are, but care only the friendship. The cultures has so evolved that even pandit says the body has to be carried by close relatives first then then friends. So there come the question who is a friend?
Is he should be a Hindu coz that who is died or is he should be a Muslim or a christian. What does derive friendship meaning. Religion or humanity or the friend in you that wants a friend.

Thank you
Anand
